MISSION STATEMENT

The Flagstaff Sports Foundation has a two-fold mission: To maintain its Hall of Fame and celebrate the athletic and community accomplishments of its inductees, and to provide financial support to local athletes.

HISTORY

The Flagstaff Sports Foundation (FSF) was established in January of 2008 as a non-profit 501 C-3 organization for fundraising for our grants.

Since its inception, FSF has assisted more than 700 needy youth and sports teams in their activities and events through our grants.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

Each year the Flagstaff Sports Foundation (FSF) provides for the celebration of Flagstaff's athletes, teams, and contributors with public recognition for their outstanding achievements while having participated in sports as sanctioned by the Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) during their secondary school years. Our annual Hall of Fame banquet event is our venue where community-nominated and FSF committee selected inductees to the Foundation's Hall of Fame are formerly presented. The FSF solicits sponsorships to host this event along with its ticket sales.

Additionally, the FSF raises funding for their Community Assistance Fund (CAF). The CAF is designed to meet the Foundation's secondary goal of providing financial assistance through grants to local athletes for the purchase of needed sporting equipment that will allow their participation in a chosen sport activity when regular funding falls short.
